Almost from the moment we are born, we are being taught things. When we are still babies we are taught to sit, then crawl, then walk. We are also taught how to speak, name things and communicate with the world around us. Then when we're a bit older we learn about colours, shapes and how to have good manners.
And after that, as we grow to become teenagers and adults all of sudden our education becomes much more serious and important. Gone are the days of eating mud pies and playing pest control with annoying siblings.
Once we reach a certain age much of the fun goes out of education and this is not necessary. We rarely think back to those simpler childhood years at school, where colouring and playing were our education. This is a pity because we forget that we learn best when we are interested and having fun.
We become more concerned with getting an A than with just enjoying what we are doing. Looking at children doing the simplest things, it is easy to be reminded of that time in our lives, when playing with mud was fun. We forget about that fun, and it doesn't do us any good. With stress levels so high, it would do us all some good to just relax and enjoy what we do.
